Young Explorers Day Two

Today was full of even more exploration as we hiked to new and exciting places.

In the Prairie we discovered some milkweed.

We also discovered the the "milk" makes your fingers stick together!

We continued our hike...

...and made it all the way up the the conifers.

There we took a break for a story and a snack.

Then we made it over to the brook and hiked upstream.

We found a nice place where we stopped to play in the water.

They worked as hard as beavers to build a working dam by placing logs and sticks and packing them with mud.

We even took some clay back with us to play with later.

In the afternoon we cooled off by making another visit to the creek.

Eventually we made it back to use the clay we had collected.

A little messy... but very fun!
